A married couple from Payson was arrested for selling illegal drugs from their business, Vapor Aid, including unlicensed THC products.
A married couple from Payson, Weston James Jolley, 37, and Kylee Larae Jolley, 35, were arrested on Tuesday for multiple charges related to alleged illegal drug sales from their home and business, Vapor Aid, located in Spanish Fork. The charges include endangerment of a child, possession with intent to distribute, illegal distribution of flavored e-cig products, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The investigation began when detectives from the West Central Strike Force received tips about illegal sales occurring at a residence in Payson, particularly involving vaping products. Surveillance was initiated, and officers observed the Jolleys frequently coming and going from their home. It was noted that neither Weston nor Kylee possessed a medical marijuana card, and their business lacked a license to sell THC products.
During a search of the trash outside their home, investigators found several flavored nicotine vape boxes and vapes from the brand Foger, along with empty boxes for a Ghost brand of THC products. On Sunday, detectives were monitoring the Jolleys' home when they witnessed a white truck arrive, and what appeared to be a transaction took place.
Following this, officers conducted a traffic stop on the truck, identifying one occupant as under 21, who admitted to purchasing illegal nicotine vapes from the Jolleys' home. The occupants revealed that they had received a phone number from a local vape store to facilitate their purchases.
Upon reviewing text messages related to the transactions, detectives arranged a sale of vapes and received pricing for THC products unprompted. Armed with a search warrant, officers searched the Jolleys’ home, business, and Weston’s phone, leading to his arrest.
During the arrest, over $1,700 in cash and a bag of marijuana flower were found on Weston. The home contained four children and approximately 40 ounces of marijuana flower, over 200 wrapped joints, and numerous THC vapes and gummies, none of which were secured from the children. Additionally, around $50,000 in cash was discovered throughout the home.
At Vapor Aid, investigators located thousands of illegal nicotine vapes for sale. Employees reported that Weston had instructed them to conduct cash-only sales for illicit items and to direct customers to his phone number for further purchases.
