Delivery Driver Arrested After Crash Injures Bicyclist in St. George
A pizza delivery driver in St. George was arrested after a crash injured a bicyclist, with charges including DUI and drug possession.

A 26-year-old pizza delivery driver from St. George, Utah, has been arrested following a traffic crash that resulted in injuries to a bicyclist. The identity of the injured bicyclist has not been disclosed by authorities. Lacie Nikole Winder was taken into custody on Friday and is facing multiple charges, including negligently operating a vehicle, distribution of a controlled substance, driving under the influence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The incident occurred on Friday around 6:08 p.m. when police received reports of a traffic collision at 1300 West Sunset Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers found a man lying on the ground in front of a silver Kia Sorento. Emergency medical personnel transported the man to a local hospital, and his current condition remains unknown. Reports indicate that he had no brain activity at the time of the incident.
Winder informed officers that she was delivering pizzas when she struck the bicyclist, claiming she did not see the bike before the collision. During questioning, she acknowledged having a medical marijuana card and admitted to possessing marijuana in her vehicle. Investigators learned that Winder had purchased the marijuana in Nevada and brought it into Utah.
When asked about her last use of marijuana, Winder initially stated that she had not used it since the previous night. However, she later revised her statement, claiming she last consumed marijuana at 4:00 a.m. on the day of the crash, and then changed it again to 11:00 a.m. on the same day. Field sobriety tests conducted by investigators indicated that Winder was under the influence of marijuana at the time of the accident.
A preliminary hearing for Lacie Nikole Winder is scheduled for December 30. FOX 13 News will provide updates as more information becomes available.
