PARK CITY, Utah — This January, Deer Valley Resort is set to redefine the après-ski experience with its Taste of Luxury Series, a culinary initiative that brings two distinguished Michelin star chefs to Park City for a series of intimate dinners and engaging culinary classes. The events are designed not only to captivate the palates of food enthusiasts but also to provide a unique opportunity for guests to interact with world-renowned chefs in an exclusive setting. The series will feature Chef Diego Briones, the acclaimed owner and head chef of Z'Som in Vienna, Austria, who is slated to host events on January 23 and 25. Chef Briones is known for his innovative approach to modern South American cuisine, influenced by his rich Chilean heritage and his extensive culinary journey across various countries including Chile, Peru, Canada, Spain, China, the Philippines, and France. With over 15 years of international culinary experience, his dishes reflect a blend of tradition and contemporary flair, making him a sought-after figure in the culinary world. “January is full of truly unique dining experiences with Deer Valley’s Taste of Luxury Series, and we are honored to host Chef Briones, who will be sharing his globally inspired recipes, kitchen secrets, and culinary vision with our guests,” said Jacob Musyt, Vice President of Food & Beverage at Deer Valley Resort. “Foodies will have the rare chance to meet Chef Briones, savor an elaborate multi-course meal of his creation, and learn scratch cooking methods and techniques firsthand from this world-renowned chef.” Guests attending the VIP meet-and-greet reception and dinner on January 23 will enjoy an exclusive evening at Silver Lake Lodge’s Bald Mountain Room. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a reception featuring canapés and a selection of hand-picked wines, followed by a meticulously crafted five-course dinner at 7 p.m. This intimate setting allows guests to mingle not only with Chef Briones but also with Deer Valley’s director of beverage and the resort’s executive chef. Tickets for this luxurious experience are priced at $285 for the VIP reception and dinner, while the dinner-only option is available for $235. The following event, a hands-on cooking class with Chef Briones on January 25 at The Brass Tag, promises to be an unparalleled culinary experience. Starting at 2:30 p.m., participants will have the opportunity to learn from Chef Briones and the Deer Valley culinary team as they create culinary favorites from scratch. The $285 experience includes lunch, a wine pairing, a custom apron, recipes, and special gifts, making it a perfect outing for aspiring chefs and food lovers alike. In addition to Chef Briones, the Taste of Luxury Series will also feature Chef Enrico Bartolini, a culinary heavyweight who holds an impressive record of 14 Michelin stars throughout his career. Chef Bartolini, who operates a prestigious three-star restaurant in Milan, will host events from January 9-11. His influence in the culinary scene is profound, as he redefines Italian cuisine with a perfect balance of tradition and innovation. Tickets for Chef Bartolini’s VIP meet-and-greet dinners on January 9 and 10 at Empire Canyon Lodge’s Fireside Dining Room are still available. These events will showcase a four-course menu that highlights his signature dishes, with tickets priced at $402 for the VIP reception and dinner, or $342 for dinner only. Additionally, Chef Bartolini will conduct a cooking masterclass focusing on fresh, handmade pasta techniques on January 11 at 1 p.m. This immersive class is priced at $390 and offers a unique glimpse into the traditions of Italian cooking under the guidance of one of the world's most esteemed chefs. As the Taste of Luxury Series unfolds, Deer Valley Resort aims to not only elevate the dining experience but also to foster a deeper connection between guests and the culinary arts. By bringing Michelin star chefs to the slopes, the resort is creating an environment where food enthusiasts can indulge in exquisite cuisine while surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of Park City’s mountains. “Foodies will have the rare chance to meet Chef Briones, savor an elaborate multi-course meal of his creation, and learn scratch cooking methods and techniques firsthand from this world-renowned chef,” Musyt added. As the winter season progresses, Deer Valley Resort continues to pave the way for unique culinary experiences, ensuring that every meal shared within its bounds becomes a cherished memory. With limited availability for both chefs, attendees are encouraged to secure their tickets soon to be part of this exclusive culinary journey that marries luxury with the art of fine dining on the slopes of Utah’s picturesque landscape.
