John Collins Utah Jazz

John Collins is a 6’9″ power forward who was born in Layton, Utah. He played college basketball at Wake Forest, where he was a two-time All-ACC selection. Collins was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks with the 19th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.

Collins has been a productive player in the NBA, averaging 16.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game for his career. He is a versatile scorer who can shoot from three-point range and create his own shot off the dribble. He is also a good rebounder and defender.

In July 2023, Collins was traded to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Rudy Gay and a future second-round pick. The Jazz were looking to add a young, talented forward to their roster, and Collins fits the bill. He is expected to be a key part of the Jazz’s future.

Collins is excited to be back in Utah, where he grew up. He said that he is “ready to help the Jazz win and bring a championship to Utah.” He is also looking forward to playing with Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert.

The Jazz are hoping that Collins can help them return to contention in the Western Conference. They have a young, talented roster, and Collins is a key piece of the puzzle.
