PARK CITY, Utah — The partnership between outdoor apparel brand Stio and Wasatch Adventure Guides continues this winter with the Wasatch Women Mountain Collective, an initiative aimed at uniting women in outdoor activities. Now in its third year, this free program provides guided experiences for women interested in outdoor recreation. The Collective hosts a variety of seasonal events, including winter full moon snowshoe hikes, summer hiking meetups, and fly fishing clinics, all focusing on accessibility and community engagement. The winter series features monthly full moon snowshoe hikes starting Tuesday, Jan. 6. Each hike is led by a female team from Wasatch Adventure Guides and begins at Stio’s Mountain Studio on Main Street, which acts as the central meeting point. Participants gather at 6 p.m. before embarking on beginner-friendly trails close to downtown Park City, concluding with a social gathering over hot cocoa or chai at the studio. The Stio location allows participants to prepare with gear on-site if needed and promotes community spirit. Registered participants also benefit from in-store discounts, which are particularly appealing for those gearing up for winter activities. Trails are chosen approximately a week before each event, taking into account weather conditions, snowpack, group size, and experience levels. Participants are informed via email regarding mileage, elevation gain, trail conditions, and weather forecasts to ensure they are adequately prepared. All events are free to attend, with optional rental gear offered for those lacking snowshoes, poles, or headlamps. Equipment is delivered to the meeting site, and guides provide a brief orientation prior to the hike. For further details regarding registration and upcoming events of the Wasatch Women Mountain Collective, interested participants can visit the Wasatch Adventure Guides’ website. Early sign-ups are encouraged as winter conditions can change rapidly.
