Park City, UT - The Record Company, a Grammy Award-nominated rock and blues trio, is set to kick off its highly anticipated 2026 tour with a special three-night event at the iconic Egyptian Theatre in Park City, beginning January 8. This tour not only marks the band’s first performance in Park City but also celebrates the 10th anniversary of their debut album, "Give It Back to You," which earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album. The Egyptian Theatre, located at 328 Main St., will host the band from January 8 through January 10, with performances starting at 8 p.m. each night. Fans can expect a unique experience as each show will have its own distinct character. Guitarist and vocalist Chris Vos shared his excitement about the upcoming performances, stating, "We’ve never done three shows in one location before. It will be a fun experience for those who make it out, with different sets that mix old classics with new surprises." Vos, who founded the band alongside bassist Alex Stiff and drummer Marc Cazorla, expressed his enthusiasm about performing in Park City. "I’ve heard great things about the town and the venue. I’m looking forward to playing some intimate performances," he said, highlighting the band's eagerness to connect with the local audience. The Egyptian Theatre, known for its warm atmosphere and rich history, provides an ideal backdrop for The Record Company to celebrate a decade of their influential music. The band’s debut album, released in 2016, was a turning point in their career, propelling them from recording in a living room to sharing stages with legends like the late B.B. King and John Mayer at Madison Square Garden within just 18 months. Reflecting on the journey since the album's release, Vos noted the unforeseen success that followed. "There were a lot of shocks with that album. We realized that people wanted to come to concerts, buy and stream records, and talk about bands like ours. They are the real gift-givers. We make the music, but they choose to listen to it and make it a big part of their lives. That’s one of the most sacred gifts they can give to artists." The upcoming shows will also commemorate the reissue of "Give It Back to You" as a double vinyl set, which will include bonus tracks and additional material available for streaming. This anniversary release is scheduled for February 20, marking another significant milestone for the band. Vos shared, "I’m excited to see longtime fans hear versions of songs they’ve never heard before. There will be live versions and tracks that didn’t make the cut during the album’s first release." The journey to this point has not been without its challenges. Vos reflects on the lifestyle changes that came with newfound fame, including the demands of touring. "I’ve always been a road-dog, but we were gone 250 days a year for a while. It’s important to find a balance and deliver a great performance night after night. You can’t just throw your hardest fastball every single night," he explained. Adjusting to this lifestyle required both physical and mental adaptations. Vos discussed the necessity of moderation, particularly when it comes to enjoying life on the road. "I enjoy a good beer, but when you’re on the road every night, you have to remember you have a job to do. There’s no manual for this, and you have to be mindful of how your ego responds to stress and opportunities." The idea for the anniversary reissue came from Concord Records, the label that originally released the album. Vos described the honor of revisiting their debut work and the nostalgia it brings. "When you make a record, you’re not thinking about awards or anniversaries. It’s a beautiful thing to celebrate a record that essentially brought us to the doorstep of our career." In addition to the reissue, fans can expect an array of live recordings, including tracks from a 2014 living-room concert where they first recorded the album, and live performances from their album-release night at the Ecoplex in Los Angeles. Vos reflected on the power of music and its ability to transport listeners to beautiful places, a sentiment that resonates deeply with him as an artist. The Record Company’s upcoming performances at the Egyptian Theatre promise to be a celebration of music, connection, and the journey they’ve shared with their fans over the past decade. Vos encapsulated the essence of their mission: "The music business feels like driving fast over a hill, knowing there's a ravine on the other side, but believing you’ve done the research on where the bridge is. If you do it from the heart, life will throw you a net." Tickets for the performances range from $33 to $65 and can be purchased through the Egyptian Theatre’s website or by calling 855-745-SHOW. This is an opportunity for fans to witness a milestone in The Record Company’s journey, as they share their music and stories that have resonated with audiences across the globe.
