Promontory Club announces leadership changes, promoting Kelli Brown and welcoming Jonathan Fillman as new general manager.
Promontory Club, a premier private club located in Park City, Utah, announced on Wednesday the expansion of its leadership team, promoting Kelli Brown from general manager to managing director and appointing Jonathan Fillman as the new general manager. This strategic change comes as the club prepares to enhance its portfolio of amenities and member services, reflecting its commitment to providing an exceptional club experience.
Kelli Brown, who has dedicated 24 years to Promontory Club and its parent company, Pivotal Group, expressed her excitement about the new role. "It has been a privilege to work closely with Francis and our talented management team to help shape and direct this project over more than two decades. I look forward to focusing more on its evolution and further establishing Promontory as the premier mountain club," she stated. Brown will continue to oversee critical operational areas such as development, construction, sales, marketing, legal, and financial teams, while also serving as the developer representative for the Promontory Conservancy, the homeowners association.
According to Francis Najafi, CEO of Pivotal Group, the timing of this expansion is perfect. Fillman, who takes the helm as general manager, brings a wealth of experience from his previous role as vice president of asset management, private clubs, and sustainability for Aspen Hospitality, a division of Aspen Skiing Company. In this capacity, he managed five hotels and two private clubs, including the distinguished Aspen Mountain Club and Snowmass Mountain Club. His career also includes serving as general manager of The Little Nell in Aspen, Colorado, a role that equipped him with the operational expertise and member engagement skills necessary for his new position.
In his role as general manager, Fillman will oversee all aspects of the Promontory Club, including operations, food and beverage services, membership, and events. He will also engage with the Promontory Foundation, which plays a vital role in supporting local nonprofits through annual fundraising efforts. "I am honored to begin this role at an incredibly prestigious club like Promontory and look forward to building relationships with the members, investing in the club’s people and culture, and stewarding the community’s assets with a long-term approach that honors Promontory’s vision," Fillman remarked.
