As outlined in the city’s guidelines, each award can reach up to $15,000, which can be used for expenditures not typically covered under an organization’s regular operating budget. This includes costs associated with launching new services, temporarily increasing capacity to meet a surge in demand, solving unexpected urgent needs, or implementing strategies to tackle emerging challenges. Applications for the grants are accepted throughout the year, contingent upon the availability of funding. The Nonprofit Services Advisory Committee reviews submissions quarterly, making recommendations to the Park City Council, which has the final authority on grant approvals. In urgent scenarios, the committee may hold special meetings to evaluate requests that cannot wait until the next scheduled review. The first quarterly review for the year 2026 is set for January 14, with applications due by December 30, 2025. Additional review dates for the year will be April 8, July 15, and October 15, with submission deadlines generally two weeks prior to each meeting. To qualify for these grants, nonprofits must meet Park City’s criteria for public service funding. They must provide services that benefit Park City residents or the local workforce, with their proposals aligning with the city’s definition of an emergent community need.
