Park City is celebrating the holiday season with events including Santa visits, parades, and festive gatherings throughout Christmas week.
PARK CITY, UT — Park City's holiday season is vibrant with traditional celebrations and family-friendly events throughout Christmas week. The town's resorts are supported by snowmaking operations, and the festive atmosphere extends beyond skiing. Historic Main Street, dining venues, cultural attractions, and community events abound, providing various ways for residents and visitors to enjoy the season.
Christmas week highlights include:
**Saturday, Dec. 20**
- Santa Comes Down Town Lift from 5 to 7 p.m., featuring Christmas carolers from 1 to 4 p.m., cookies, cocoa, and DJ Lux starting at 5 p.m. Santa's arrival is at 6 p.m. with photo opportunities until 6:30 p.m.
- Chanukah Menorah Car Parade at 7:30 p.m., with decorated vehicles starting from City Park, traveling along Park Avenue, concluding at Top of Main Brew Pub by 8 p.m.
- Egyptian Theatre Holiday Spectacular and Sing-along at 8 p.m., with an additional matinee at 3 p.m.
**Sunday, Dec. 21**
- Egyptian Theatre Holiday Spectacular and Sing-along at 5 p.m.
- The final day of the Ski Bum on the Run scavenger hunt, with daily clues posted on Historic Park City Alliance's website and Instagram, directing families to find Rip along Main Street.
**Wednesday, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve)**
- Santa visits Deer Valley's Snow Park Lodge from 9 to 11 a.m. and Silver Lake Lodge from noon to 1:30 p.m.
- Park City Mountain Canyons Village Torchlight Parade begins at 4:30 p.m., featuring cookies, cocoa, live music, a ski and ride school team descent at 6 p.m., followed by photos with Santa and a DJ performance until 7 p.m.
- Voting deadline for the Silver & Snow Holiday Window Display Contest, with winners announced on Dec. 26.
**Ongoing through the holidays:**
From now until Jan. 3, enjoy the Snow Globe Art Stroll featuring seven life-sized snow globes along Main Street, each with a hidden silver snowflake.
From Dec. 26-31, visit Park City Cirque at The Egyptian Theatre, celebrating its 100th anniversary with The Great DuBois' high-energy circus performance.
Through Feb. 1, the Create PC Holiday Makers Market at the Arts Council of Park City & Summit County showcases local artists and entrepreneurs daily from noon to 6 p.m.
Daily activities include the Park City Mountain Canyons Village Gondola Art Stroll with six art installations and après activities at the Airstream at Canyons Village's Umbrella Bar.
