The Park City Gallery Association is set to host its final gallery stroll of the year, marking the beginning of the winter season. This free event will take place on December 26 from 6-9 p.m. across 14 galleries primarily located on Main Street. According to Jen Schumacher, co-president of the Park City Gallery Association and owner of Trove Gallery, the holiday period sees an uptick in business as families visit the area. The monthly gallery strolls typically occur on the last Friday of each month, making this event ideal for families looking to engage with local art during the busy holiday season. Schumacher highlights that this event is an excellent opportunity for families to introduce children to art in a festive environment. The stroll allows visitors to explore local galleries that often feature works by artists from the surrounding area. During the stroll, Main Street will be adorned with holiday lights, and various boutiques and restaurants will be open, adding to the festive atmosphere. Additionally, the annual snow globe stroll will be ongoing, providing more activities for visitors. Several galleries will feature special shows and promotions during the event. For instance, Bret Webster Images, located at 312 Main St., will offer discounts on snow-themed artwork. Gallery MAR, at 436 Main St., is set to showcase America Martin, a Colombian-American fine-art painter. Summit Gallery at 825 Main St. will present a new collection by Holly Manneck, known for her pop montages. While Trove Gallery will not feature specific promotions for the stroll, it recently opened a show highlighting the work of popular Utah artist Ben Steele. For those unable to attend the designated stroll, all galleries remain open daily, allowing visitors to explore new art at their convenience. The Park City Gallery Association currently includes 17 galleries, which are marked with white flags during the strolls. Visitors can find free gallery guides with maps and listings of participating galleries. The association's website, parkcitygalleryassociation.com, offers further information. Additionally, a free bus service is available for those looking to avoid parking on Main Street.
