Park City Film Celebrates the Holidays with Free Classic Screenings
Park City Film will host free screenings of 'Elf' and 'It’s a Wonderful Life' this holiday season.

Park City Film is set to bring holiday cheer to the community with free screenings of two beloved Christmas films. The first film, Jon Favreau's "Elf," will be shown on Monday at 4 p.m. at the Park City Library's Jim Santy Auditorium. This family-friendly comedy features Buddy, a human-sized elf played by Will Ferrell, who travels from the North Pole to New York City in search of his father. Executive Director Katharine Wang expressed excitement for the screening, calling it a fun way to kick off the holiday season.
Following "Elf," Frank Capra's classic "It’s a Wonderful Life" will be screened on Tuesday at 7 p.m. This heartwarming drama stars James Stewart as George Bailey, a man who is struggling with despair until he meets an angel named Clarence. The film explores themes of community and the impact one individual can have on others' lives.
Both screenings are free to the public and aim to foster a sense of togetherness among attendees. The events highlight the importance of community during the holiday season and offer a chance for families to gather and enjoy classic films.
The Park City Library has partnered with Park City Film for these screenings, continuing a tradition of collaboration that has been successful in previous years. Residents are encouraged to attend the screenings and celebrate the spirit of the holidays through film.
