Park City Creamery, founded by Corinne Zinn, is set to transition its ownership to Ballerina Farm on January 2. Zinn's decision to sell was part of her plan toward retirement, and she expressed surprise at the quick interest from Ballerina Farm. Initially, she anticipated a longer timeline for the sale. Ballerina Farm, which launched its dairy production in 2024, will continue producing Zinn's original cheese recipes using milk from its own cows. The integration of Park City Creamery into Ballerina Farm's operations aligns with their strategy of expanding cheese production. Zinn's recipes will be maintained, ensuring the quality and flavors that customers have come to expect. Ballerina Farm has previously leased cheesemaking facilities and hired skilled cheesemakers, demonstrating their commitment to quality production. Zinn will assist in the transition process for a few weeks post-sale. The purchase includes retaining the existing employees of Park City Creamery, which Zinn emphasized as a critical factor for her. The creamery is known for its award-winning cheeses, including 'Silver Queen,' a goat cheese dusted in vegetable ash, and others like 'Treasure' and 'Hidden Treasure.' Customers have supported the creamery through various challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Zinn will be present at the Downtown Farmers Market in Salt Lake City on December 27 and will also welcome visitors at the creamery until January 1. Afterward, she looks forward to new ventures, expressing confidence that Ballerina Farm will continue to innovate in the cheese market.
