Due to unseasonably warm weather in Utah, U.S. Ski and Snowboard has decided to relocate the Intermountain Health Freestyle International events. Originally scheduled to take place at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, the aerials World Cup will now occur in Lake Placid, New York. Meanwhile, the moguls and dual moguls World Cup events have been moved to Waterville Valley Resort in New Hampshire. This change was necessary to ensure that athletes have the best opportunity to qualify for the Olympic Winter Games. U.S. Ski and Snowboard expressed gratitude to both Lake Placid and Waterville Valley for their prompt and collaborative response in finding a solution. Deer Valley Resort, which has hosted World Cup events for nearly three decades, assessed current snow conditions and determined that proceeding with the events would not be in the best interest of the athletes. In a statement, Deer Valley acknowledged the disappointment this decision may bring and reiterated the importance of the International Ski World Cup competition in their history. The resort thanked supporters for their continued engagement with the sport. The aerials World Cup is set for January 11-12, 2026, while the moguls and dual moguls events will take place on January 15-16.
