The Lodge at Blue Sky, part of the Auberge Collection, is set to host an intimate concert featuring Grammy-nominated artist Noah Cyrus on February 27, marking the third event in its burgeoning Auberge Concert Series. This initiative aims to weave together music, community engagement, and charitable contributions, transforming the resort into a cultural hub for eastern Summit County. General Manager Joe Ogdie shared insights into the vision behind the concert series. "Looking at the cultural side of things, how do we bring the Mountain West and culture alive at the hotel?" he asked, emphasizing the desire for Blue Sky to deepen its involvement with the local community. This commitment is reflected in the concert series, which seeks to serve as a 'living room' for Park City residents and visitors alike, fostering a sense of togetherness and cultural appreciation. Previously, the series featured performances by renowned artists LeAnn Rimes and Luke Grimes, both of which were well received. Each concert is designed not only for entertainment but also to support the Saving Gracie Equine Healing Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Blue Sky co-owner Barb Philips. The foundation is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abused and neglected horses while providing equine-assisted therapy. Ogdie stated that 15% of ticket proceeds from the Cyrus concert will be donated directly to the foundation, reinforcing the series' charitable mission. "The charitable component of the series has been key to attracting artists who share similar priorities," Ogdie explained. The proceeds not only support Saving Gracie’s rescue operations but also Philips’ advocacy work related to the federal SAFE Act, which aims to end the commercial slaughter of horses. This alignment of values has allowed Blue Sky to draw like-minded artists who resonate with its mission of environmental preservation and animal welfare. Cyrus is expected to perform a stripped-down acoustic set, sharing tracks from her latest album and discussing the personal stories behind her music. "Noah Cyrus is very in line with animal rescue, and her values are very similar to ours," Ogdie noted, highlighting the synergy between the artist and the venue's ethos. The concert will provide a unique opportunity for attendees to engage with Cyrus in a more personal setting, enhancing the overall experience. The evening will kick off with a pre-concert social hour, featuring signature cocktails and barbecue offerings from Smokewood, Blue Sky’s seasonal food truck. Guests will also have the chance to interact with horses from the resort’s onsite equine sanctuary, further emphasizing the connection between the event and the foundation it supports. Following this social hour, the concert will take place inside the resort's event center, a former riding arena that has been transformed into an intimate venue. The Auberge Concert Series is not limited to Blue Sky but is part of a broader initiative across Auberge properties in various locations, such as Fort Worth, Texas, and Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Ogdie noted that the goal of these concerts is to complement the resort’s diverse programming, which includes guided outdoor adventures, culinary collaborations with visiting chefs, and a growing slate of wellness experiences. Overnight accommodations for concert-goers are also available, providing guests with the opportunity to enjoy the resort's amenities fully. This package includes reservations at the YUTA restaurant and breakfast the following morning. General admission tickets are priced at $175, while VIP tickets are available for $295, which offer premium seating options. For those opting for a lodging package, rates begin at $1,907, ensuring guests have a comprehensive experience from start to finish. Ogdie mentioned a significant local following for these concerts, noting that many attendees travel from nearby Salt Lake City or Park City for a mini staycation. Looking ahead, Blue Sky plans to host concerts quarterly, with three additional artists expected to be announced later this year. While the venue remains open to various musical genres, Ogdie indicated that country and Americana align best with the rustic setting, creating an inviting atmosphere for both performers and guests. Thanks to the Auberge name, attendees are afforded a rare chance to experience popular artists in a more intimate setting, providing a unique environment where artists can showcase their true selves. Tickets for the Noah Cyrus concert can be purchased through the Blue Sky website, offering an opportunity to support a worthy cause while enjoying a night of music in the beautiful surroundings of eastern Summit County.
