Mother of Missing Child Melodee Buzzard Arrested Again in Utah
Ashlee Buzzard, mother of missing Melodee Buzzard, has been re-arrested as search efforts continue.

The mother of nine-year-old Melodee Buzzard, who has been missing since October 9, has been taken back into custody. Ashlee Buzzard, 40, was apprehended by Santa Barbara County Sheriffs Officials at her residence on Mars Avenue in Vandenberg Village on Tuesday morning. Neighbors captured video of the incident, showing authorities leading her away from her home. One neighbor described the arrest as quiet and quick, noting that law enforcement arrived shortly before 7:45 a.m., employing a metal tool to force entry into the home after knocking on the door. Following the arrest, the screen door of the residence was left slightly ajar, indicating it could not close properly. A spokesperson for the sheriffs department has not yet commented on the situation. Melodee was last seen during a three-day road trip with her mother that reportedly extended as far east as Nebraska. The investigation into her disappearance commenced on October 14, following reports from school administrators regarding her prolonged absence. Authorities have indicated that Ashlee has been uncooperative, offering no information regarding her daughter's whereabouts. In November, Ashlee Buzzard faced arrest on charges of false imprisonment related to an incident involving a man who alleged that she had confined him within her home. During a preliminary hearing, the judge determined that there was insufficient evidence for the case to proceed, resulting in the dismissal of the charges against her. The search for Melodee Buzzard continues as investigators work to gather more information and locate the missing girl.
