Kimball Art Center in Park City offers exciting winter events including Noon Year’s Eve and new exhibitions.
PARK CITY, Utah — As 2025 comes to a close, the Kimball Art Center is set to host an array of events and exhibitions to celebrate the season and usher in 2026. One highlight is the annual Noon Year’s Eve event on December 31, providing a family-friendly celebration for those not wanting to stay up until midnight. This 90-minute event includes art projects, snacks, and a countdown to noon, allowing children to enjoy the excitement without the late-night commitment. The cost is $5 per child, while supervising adults can attend for free.
Art enthusiasts will have their final opportunity to view the current exhibition, “Gazing Eyes and Giving Ears,” featuring works focused on portraiture and identity. This exhibition will close on January 4, with a special evening of slam poetry on January 2, showcasing local poets who will perform pieces inspired by the exhibition's themes.
Additionally, the center will introduce a new class called the K-Pop Demon Hunters Tiger Workshop, inspired by the animated film. This class merges contemporary youth culture with traditional Korean art techniques, providing an engaging learning experience for students.
On January 16, the Kimball Art Center will unveil its next exhibition titled “Returning to Wonder.” This show will explore awe-inspiring moments in nature, featuring works that highlight both macro and micro perspectives of the natural world. The exhibition will include contributions from various artists and will coincide with the Sundance Film Festival.
For those looking for last-minute holiday gifts, the Kimball Art Center offers gift certificates and memberships that can be used for classes and supplies. As the year comes to a close, the center is also working to meet its annual fundraising goals, relying on community support to maintain its year-round programming, much of which is free to the public.
