A Herriman family is searching for their lost parakeet, Phoenix, offering a $1,500 reward for its return.
HERRIMAN, Utah - A family in Salt Lake County is seeking help from the community in locating their missing parakeet. The bright green Alexandrine parakeet, named Phoenix, escaped from the Loy family's home on High Country Road last Monday, December 15, at approximately 4:45 p.m. Elizabeth and Richard Loy, who have owned Phoenix for over three years, are deeply concerned about their pet's safety and well-being. In an effort to encourage the public to assist in the search, the Loy family is offering a reward of $1,500 for information leading to Phoenix's safe return. Elizabeth has taken to social media to spread the word, urging residents to check various locations where the bird might be hiding. She specifically mentioned looking in trees, bushes, garages, and outbuildings. The family believes Phoenix may have traveled to nearby neighborhoods, including Herriman, Riverton, or Bluffdale. They are hopeful that with the community's help, they can reunite with their beloved pet. Anyone who sees Phoenix is requested to contact Richard at 801-580-7127 or Elizabeth at 801-808-7776. The Loy family remains optimistic that their search efforts will yield positive results and that Phoenix will soon be back home, safe and sound. They appreciate any assistance from the public and encourage everyone to keep an eye out for their vibrant feathered friend. The loss of a pet can be distressing, and the Loy family is determined to do everything possible to bring Phoenix back. As they continue their search, they thank everyone in advance for their support and vigilance.
