Santa Claus will visit Deer Valley Resort on Christmas Eve, December 24. Guests can meet Santa at the Snow Park Lodge from 9-11 a.m. and at the Silver Lake Lodge from noon-1:30 p.m. More details can be found on the Deer Valley website.
Park City Mountain will host its annual Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade at 5:15 p.m. on December 24 at Canyons Village. This free event will feature Santa, carolers at 1 p.m., and live music with DJ Bryson Dearden at Ski Beach. Attendees are encouraged to bring their cameras for photos with Santa.
Emmy Award-winning composer Kurt Bestor will continue his Christmas concert series in Park City with final performances on December 24 and 25 at the Egyptian Theatre, located at 328 Main St. Ticket prices range from $35 to $53, and more information can be obtained by calling 855-745-SHOW or visiting the Park City Shows website.
The Park City Library and all Summit County Library branches, including Kamas Valley, Coalville, and Kimball Junction, will close early at 3 p.m. on December 24 and remain closed on December 25 for Christmas. Libraries will reopen on December 26 at 10 a.m.
Park City Film will conclude its Robert Redford Tribute Series with a free screening of the 1992 film "A River Runs Through It" on December 26 at 4 p.m. This event will take place at the Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium. The film, directed by Redford, explores the relationships of two brothers who share a love of fly fishing.
The Swaner Preserve & EcoCenter will be closed for the holidays from December 24 through January 1. Information can be found on the Swaner website for those interested in visiting after the holidays.
