PARK CITY, Utah — This January, the picturesque Main Street of Historic Park City will come alive with a vibrant array of cultural activities, leading up to the final installment of the renowned Sundance Film Festival, set to take place from January 22 to February 1. The Historic Park City Alliance is encouraging both locals and visitors to immerse themselves in the unique artistic and musical experiences that the area has to offer throughout the month. "As we bid a bittersweet adieu to the Sundance Film Festival, we encourage guests to wander, stroll, and immerse themselves in Historic Park City, which has been the home of the beloved event for more than 40 years," said Ginger Wicks, Executive Director of the Historic Park City Alliance. "In addition to film, the arts are on full display this month with new gallery exhibits, music performances, and art strolls for all to enjoy." The month begins with the Snow Globe Art Stroll, which runs through January 3. This whimsical event features seven life-sized snow globes positioned along Main Street, each showcasing winter scenes crafted by local artists. Hidden silver snowflakes within the globes invite onlookers to explore the intricate designs, making it a delightful experience for families and art enthusiasts alike. On January 2, Gallery MAR will host an exhibition titled "America Martin: Celebration," featuring works by the celebrated American painter and sculptor known for her bold interpretations of the human form and nature. This exhibition is expected to draw attention not only for its artistic value but also for the opportunity to meet the artist herself. The Egyptian Theatre will also see a flurry of activity this month, starting with Sheena Easton, the Grammy Award-winning singer who has sold over 20 million records worldwide. She will perform three consecutive nights from January 2 to 4, captivating audiences with her timeless hits and engaging stage presence. Following Easton, The Record Company, a Grammy-nominated trio, will take the stage from January 8 to 10, bringing their blues-inflected rock sound to Park City. The art scene continues to flourish with an exhibition featuring contemporary artists Havoc Hendricks and Samantha daSilva on January 16 at Gallery MAR. For fans of '80s music, The Ocean Blue will perform at The Egyptian Theatre from January 16 to 18 as part of their "Frigid Winter Days Tour."
